Our Project managers have combined experience of more than 65 years. Having a top notch crew is the reason DEI is able to deliver on it's promise to be "More Than The Expected".
Mr. Charles H. Dennis, Jr. President
Mr. Dennis has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Christian Brothers College (Christian Brothers University), Memphis, TN and is a Master Electrician. He served on the Board of Memphis Chapter of National Electrical Contractors Association for 25 years and is a Fellow in the Academy of Electrical Contractors. He has also served on the Board of the West Tennessee Associated Builders and Contractors over the past 15 years. Mr. Dennis joined his father, Charles H. Dennis, Sr. in 1955 as a Project Manager. He has been directing the corporation for the past 50 years.
Cole Dennis, Vice President and Senior Project Manager
Cole has been with Dennis Electric, Inc since 1982 and has been a project manager for over 20 years. Cole managed the construction of the Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Women's and Children's Pavilion and is currently the on site manager for the construction of the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex in Pikeville, Tennessee. Other projects Cole has overseen to completion include: International Paper Tower III, Christian Brothers University Science Center, and the Fed Ex Ground Hub in Olive Branch.
John C. Dennis
John has been with Dennis Electric, Inc since 1985. Prior to 1985, he worked in the construction industry in Texas for several years. John is a Master Electrician and has experience managing the construction of a variety of projects. Recently John managed the completion of The Wind Creek Casino and Hotel. He is currently overseeing progress on two Wal-Mart Data Centers. Other projects John has overseen to completion include: Wal-Mart Data Centers, Harrah's Hotel- Tunica Mississippi, and Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Aaron Dennis, Project Manager
Aaron has been with DEI since 2003. He started in the field as an electrician. In 2007 he became a project manager and has managed several projects including Germantown Methodist Dietary and Accredo Health. Currently, Aaron is working on a weight room at The University of Memphis and the Soulsville Charter School.
Jeff Gwin, Project Manager
Jeff re-joined Dennis Electric, Inc in January 2002 serving as project foreman on many major projects. From 1987-1997 he was employed with DEI as a Job Foreman and Journeyman Electrician. Jeff was the on-site foreman on the International Paper Data Center, Fed Ex East Campus. He also worked on construction projects at Rhodes College and Promus Companies. Jeff managed the TANG Hangar at the Memphis International Airport, a $10,000,000 project. Recently he completed Briarcrest Christian School
Mike Smith, Service Manager
Mike has been with Dennis Electric, Inc since 1996. In 2007 he brought his 11 years of hands on experience as an electrician into his current position as Service Manager. Mike coordinates service calls, manages the DEI service trucks and is the primary buyer of equipment and supplies.
Corporate Administration:
Phil Dennis, Corporate Secretary and Office Manager
Phil has been with Dennis Electric, Inc since 1985. His day to day involvement includes coordinating and overseeing Payroll, Job Costing and Billing. Phil also coordinates our Apprenticeship Program and Safety Training.
Susan Dennis Crawford, Controller
Since 1989 Susan has been in the business of taking care of business for DEI. Her day to day activities include overseeing and managing General Ledger Accounts, Employee Benefits and Marketing. Susan also serves on the Associated Builders and Contractors Workers Compensation Self Insurance Fund and is the 2011 Chairperson of the West Tennessee Associated Builders and Contractors.
Brenda Jones, Accounts Payable
In The Field:
Robert M. Dennis, Field Superintendent
Robert has been with the company since 1976. Over the years, he has worked as foreman on many major projects such as Fed Ex East Campus-Phase I and The Windcreek Casino and Hotel. Currently, Robert is the Field Superintendent on the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex.
Terry Twisdale, Foreman Electrician
Terry has been with Dennis Electric, Inc. since 1986. He has vast experience working in "high-risk" work environments such as Methodist Hospital- Germantown, International Paper Data Center and FedEx East Campus. Recent projects Terry oversaw as foreman include Briarcrest Christian School and Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Women's and Children's Pavillion. Currently, Terry is putting his over a quarter of a century of experience to use as foreman for the remodel work at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital.
Kevin Hatten, Foreman Electrician
Kevin, a Journeyman Electrician, has been with DEI since 1995. He was Foreman over the Concord EFS HQ/Data Center in the Goodlett Farms Office Park. This project required approximately 18 months of coordination and direction from Kevin. He was Project Superintendent for the TANG C-5 Hanger project. Kevin was Foreman for the WindCreek Casino and Hotel. Recently, Kevin was Foreman on the Smith and Nephew Demolition project.
Arkansas Office:
Gary McClain, Arkansas Branch Manager
Gary has been with Dennis Electric, Inc since 1988. He oversees both the Project Management and Service Management aspects for the Arkansas office.
Lola McClain, Secretary
Lola has been with DEI since 1989. She manages the administrative tasks for the Arkansas Office.
